Japanese ambassador inviting Indian students and ...Japan has begun accepting skilled Indian workers to address labor shortages caused by an aging population and declining birth rates, through agreements like the "Manufacturing Skill Transfer Promotion Programme" and the "Specified Skilled Worker" visa. The two countries also signed an agreement in August 2025 to promote people-to-people exchanges, with Japan set to receive tens of thousands of Indian engineers, IT professionals, and other skilled workers.
