The last two times when I went there, it was Christmas time. I have no guts to visit there in summer.
If you just want to see wildflower, check wildflower status at
https://www.desertusa.com/wildflo/ca_dv.html
and then go when the index is at least six. I guess if it's a good year, it should be March or April?
Anyway, I am planning to go at the end of this month when the average high is about 86.
