Iraqi ships will be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, an Iranian military spokesman, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, said on Friday.
Speaking in Arabic, he said in a video statement “our brother country Iraq is exempt from any restrictions we have imposed in the Strait of Hormuz” and that “these restrictions only apply to enemy countries.”

Iraq thanks Iran for allowing oil tankers through Strait of Hormuz
Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has thanked Iran for allowing Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz and reiterated Baghdad’s policy of rejecting war, the Foreign Ministry says.
Hussein made the remarks during a meeting with Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Kazem Al‑Sadeq, according to the statement.
